Shaw Dance Studio Policies & Information
Registration
Online registration is required through www.shawdance.com.
A completed hard-copy registration packet is required annually for all students, even if online registration has been completed.
Some classes require auditions or prerequisites.
Advanced registration is required for all classes.
An annual registration fee of $45 per dancer is charged to cover insurance, billing, communications, class supplies, and administrative expenses.
Payment Policies
To simplify billing and keep tuition costs as low as possible, Shaw Dance Studio requires recurring AutoPay for all accounts.
Tuition, costumes, fees, and other charges will be processed through recurring AutoPay.
Monthly statements are emailed by the 3rd of each month for review.
Payments are automatically drafted on the 5th of each month.
Accounts not enrolled in recurring AutoPay will be charged an additional $5 per month to cover administrative and processing fees.
Tuition
Tuition is charged monthly and is due on the 1st of each month.
All families are required to enroll in recurring AutoPay.
A $35 late fee will be assessed monthly on balances remaining unpaid after the 15th of the month.
Missed classes cannot be credited, refunded, or deducted from tuition.
Students may attend a make-up class when an absence is reported in advance. Make-up classes must be scheduled in a similar class on another day.

Proper dance attire is required for all classes. Hair must be secured away from the face in a ponytail, bun, or other approved style.

Attendance, Refunds & Make-Up Classes
Refunds are not provided for missed classes.
Missed classes cannot be credited toward future tuition.
Make-up classes are available when absences are communicated in advance.
Students absent due to illness may attend make-up classes with parent communication to the studio.
Tuition refunds will not be granted due to illness-related absences.
Studio Closure Policy
If Shaw Dance Studio is required to close due to circumstances beyond our control:
Classes will transition to online instruction.
Tuition will be reduced to 50% of the regular monthly rate while virtual instruction is in place.
Early Withdrawal Policy
Students enrolled during the traditional school year who withdraw after September 30 will be charged a $75 early withdrawal fee.
Dance classes have limited enrollment. When a student reserves a spot, another family may be turned away. Shaw Dance Studio values commitment, responsibility, and integrity, and we encourage students to honor their commitments throughout the dance season
