Missed classes are not refundable.
Missed classes cannot be credited toward future tuition.
Make-up classes are available when absences are communicated in advance.
Make-up classes must be taken in a similar class on another day.
-
Students who miss class due to illness may attend a make-up class with parent communication to the studio.
Tuition refunds are not provided for illness-related absences.
-
If circumstances require a temporary studio closure:
Classes will move to online instruction.
Tuition will be reduced to 50% of the regular monthly rate during the closure period.
-
Rather than traditional observation classes, Shaw Dance Studio offers several opportunities throughout the year for parents to see their dancer's progress.
Parent Participation Day is held each February.
Parents are invited into class three additional times during the school year to video the final 15 minutes of class.
Summer classes do not include parent observation days.
The best observation of dancers is done at our Winter and Spring Recitals.
We believe this format allows dancers to remain focused while still giving families meaningful opportunities to celebrate progress.

No. Shaw Dance Studio does not offer trial classes.
We believe students need more than one class to determine whether dance is a good fit, and enrollment is also necessary to meet insurance requirements.
-
After attending for one month, students may:
Transfer to another class if space is available, or
Withdraw from the program.
Students withdrawing after enrollment are subject to the studio's $75 Early Withdrawal Fee.
A completed Drop/Add Form must be submitted through the studio office.
Because class sizes are limited and spaces are reserved upon enrollment, we encourage families to emphasize commitment, perseverance, and integrity when participating in dance classes.
